Here are some pictures of the finished kitchen. We used Shenandoah Breckenridge maple cabinets with a mocha glaze. On the floors we have red oak hardwood floors. For the countertop we are using a solid surface similar to Corian -- but the brand is called Harmony. We have the sink built in with a solid surface sink too. A new window complements the new kitchen and has a great view. The pantries have ample storage, as the cabinets go all the way to the ceiling. We finally found the perfect table at the flea market in Raleigh. It is old wood on top with a nice patina, and a new wood base to support it. The bench is basically 2x4s (painted) with old wood to sit on. Nicely grooved and worn where needed. We also found 6 hoopback chairs, definitely old, with this neat wiring to hold it altogether. The chairs are relatively comfortable for being old. At least they're not squeakers. Thanks for looking !!
